Autumn Fields

I am painting fields for autumn...

This is the first one on an 8 x 10 canvas

in my favorite autumn palette of greys, dark browns, whites, and a hint of sea green.

I will be painting more in different sizes and views but similar, so they can be grouped together if desired.

my art background

The sea is a refuge for many of us. It has been a quiet refuge for me for as long as I can remember. I grew up near waters edge where a love for nature and quiet grew. I have been drawing, painting, and creating since childhood. My sketchbook was my best friend. I took Art classes 7th-12th grade in the California Bay Area. In High School I learned to oil paint. I began college at SDSU as an Art major, but received my B.A at CSUS in Foods And Nutrition. I have spent the last 23 yrs. cultivating a simple life remaining home mothering and educating my four children. Many of those days were spent on sea's hem . Now that my children are finishing school and moving forward into college and careers, I have had more time to spend in my studio. I began watercolor painting sanddollars,seashells, starfish, and seaweed in 2010... and Seawashed was born. My painting style is soft and gentle as if washed by the sea. Seawashed offers watercolor paintings originals and prints, acrylic originals and prints, one of a kind art,and original photography prints. I have been educated in oils, watercolor, pastels, charcoal, pencil, pen and ink, ink wash, metals, woods, and some photography.
